He also loves sports and keeps very busy with his wife and two sons. Jimmy works for Four Paws Fence as a pet fence specialist.

Jimmy has been married to his wife Whitney for nearly four years. Whitney actively works alongside her husband in the youth ministry. She enjoys working with the young ladies through hosting, friendships, organizing events and occasionally teaching Bible studies. Most of her time is spent with her two exciting and energetic sons. She loves reading, writing, gardening, digital scrapbooking and playing the piano.

JIM & LYNDEL COLWELL

Jim is a lifelong resident of Gladstone with the exception of a 5-year enlistment in the US Army at Ft. Hood, Texas and has been married to Lyndel since 1984. They have two beautiful daughters, Heather and Sarah. Jim and Lyndel have always believed parents should have active, involved roles in their children’s lives and have sponsored their daughters’ activities in many ways. Jim graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University with a BA in Management and Human Relations and is currently employed in the welding equipment and supplies industry. He is currently working with the youth at FCC out of a desire to be an instrument in teaching young men and women the joy of a life lived in Christ and contrasting that life with the dangers of a life lived in the world. Jim serves as an usher and also once a month teaches the 3-4 year old Sunday school class with Lyndel. Jim enjoys reading, writing, and teaching, as well as helping out when and where he can at FCC because he believes this Church is blessed and is a blessing for all who come to hear the Word in teaching and preaching.

Lyndel has had a varied work history including custom picture framer, cake decorator, house cleaner and retail sales positions. After returning to college earning a degree in health care,s he is currently employed as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant providing home health services. Over the years she has had opportunities to learn much about children, families, the effects of disease and disabilities, and the aging process. God has given her the greatest love for her family, interests in experimenting and creating
with color through outdoor plants, scrapbooking and card making, and using her in supportive roles, especially praying, for God’s glory.
