About Andrew

Andrew arrived in Kansas City in the fall of 2007 expecting to complete a master’s degree in piano performance and make his way swiftly back to the Southeast, where he and his wife Kimberly were born and raised. God had other plans, however, and providentially placed Andrew and Kimberly at Faith Community Church, where, just after Andrew graduated from the UMKC conservatory, in May of 2009 he began as chief musician. Andrew has served churches in Georgia and Indiana in the same capacity and finds it a privilege and blessing to lead the church in musical worship and to instruct and edify believers in what it means to “make melody to the Lord with all your heart” (Ephesians 5:19). Besides serving the church with music, Andrew’s passions include, well…music. He enjoys teaching aspiring young pianists, performing as both a solo and a collaborative pianist, and listening to and talking about great music. Andrew and Kimberly were married in December of 2007 and are eagerly awaiting three things: the day the Lord returns, the day God blesses them with children, and the day global warming makes the Midwest feel more like the South.
