Elders

The elders of Faith Community Church believe very strongly that they have a solemn mandate to “shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood” (Acts 20:28). The men affirmed and appointed to this position have been examined according to the Biblical standards found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9 and have been judged worthy. We believe that this plurality of godly men to lead our church is a hopeful evidence of God’s continuing mercies toward us that we may remain faithful and fruitful in the Gospel ministry

Timothy Juhnke - Senior Pastor

Our senior pastor was born and reared in the Midwest. His family moved to Kansas City in 1979 when his father was called into ministry. Growing up as pastor’s son provided him with a unique perspective of the pastoral ministry. He is profoundly grateful for the model that his father, Fred, has been to him, and relishes the involvement that he continues to have in his ministry. Tim and his wife, Lori, have been married for over 22 years and have four sons, Caleb, Seth, Micah, and Levi. His two older sons currently serve our country in the United States Navy. Educationally, Tim graduated from Liberty University with a degree in Church Ministries and went on to earn his Master’s of Divinity degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2000. Tim pursued post-graduate work at Wales Evangelical School of Theology. He is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Ministry program in Expository Preaching from The Master’s Seminary in Sun Valley, CA. Tim has pastored Faith Community Church since its inception in 1995. In addition, Tim also serves as President of Faith Christian Academy, a Classical Christian school in Kansas City North.

Fred Juhnke - Pastor of Administration

Pastor Fred was in the construction business in Hutchinson, Kansas, when he received the call to ministry. He moved, with his family, to Kansas City, in 1979, where he attended Calvary Bible College. He served as senior pastor at an area church for seventeen years.

Fred was a principal influence in the formation of Faith Community Church and is the Pastor of Administration. The church continues to be blessed by his preaching and teaching ministry. He and his wife, Joyce, are the parents of Pastor Tim, and of Mike, who also serves as an elders at FCC, and are proud grandparents too.

Greg Dull - Chairman

Greg has attended Faith Community Church since its formation in 1995. He served on the Deacon Board for nearly 11 years, was the church Treasurer for 5 years, and currently serves as Assistant to the Treasurer. Greg’s calling, as evidenced by faithful service to the Lord and His church, was recognized by the church leadership in 2006 with his installation as a member of the Board of Elders. Concurrent with this call, he was selected to serve as Chairman of the Faith Community Church Board of Elders. Greg also served on the Missions Board for more than 6 years. His interest in missions led Greg to participation on a church-building team in Mali, West Africa and he has also engaged in gospel frontier work in Southeast Asia. He has also taught elementary Sunday School classes, was a leader in the Awana program, and teaches in the adult Sunday School class.

In 2002, the Lord faithfully brought his wife Allison to FCC where they met and the two were married on September 7, 2003. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Josie (born January 2005) and Jordan (born November 2009), and a son, Josiah (born October 2007).

Milo and Edie, his wife, met and married in California and have been married for 44 years. Together, they spent many years of their married life working with teens. In 1969, when Milo accepted a position with Trans World Airlines as an aeronautical engineer, Milo and Edie, along with their two daughters, moved from San Diego, California to Kansas City. When he retired from TWA after 31 years of service, Milo began his own aviation consulting company: Raub Aero Engineering Services, Inc.

The Carrolls: daughter Kathleen, and son-in-law Robert, are actively involved in serving at Faith Community Church.  The Raub’s youngest daughter, Karen, is home with the Lord since 1995. Milo and Edie are blessed with six grandchildren, three of whom are the Carroll’s sons, Andrew, Aaron, and Adam. Milo is secretary of the Elder Board and serves on the Missions Committee at Faith Community Church.

Brent Evers

Brent Evers was born and raised in the Kansas City area. He heard the gospel as a high school student and accepted it intellectually. He thought he was a Christian, but wasn’t converted to Christ
until God humbled him while in dental school. To be crucified with Christ and to no longer live for self was his only response to having his eyes opened to the light of the glory of the gospel of Christ.

Brent was married to Cari in 1992 and the Lord has blessed them with three children: Malory, Reid & Courtney. Brent and Cari had a passion for evangelism and were involved with “seeker” churches for several years early in their marriage. But through a series of events, their eyes were opened to a higher view of God’s sovereignty, particularly in the area of salvation. They started attending Faith Community Church in 2003 and have been blessed by the teaching, the fellowship, and the reverence for Christ and His word in this body of Christ. Brent oversees the Fellowship Group Ministry and is an integral part of Faith Christian Academy.

David Hallam

The Lord mercifully saved David at a young age through the witness of his parents. Today he is continuing to trust in the finished work of Christ on the cross for his salvation. He has been married to Corina for 12 years. They have four children: Isaiah, Elijah, Gabriel and Esther. David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Church Music from Williams Baptist College. He also holds Master of Church Music and Master of Divinity degrees from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently coordinating the education ministry of Faith Community Church. Outside of FCC, he works as a supervisor of a dispatch office for a local school district’s transportation department. His interests include: Reading, Apologetics (most recently with an emphasis in Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons), Philosophy, Systematic Theology, Exploring God’s creation, following biblical principles of money/finance as taught by Dave Ramsey, and wrestling with his boys.

John Worley - Elder Emeritus

As a result of health issues, John Worley stepped down from active service as Chairman of Faith Community’s Elder Board. He remains with FCC as Elder Emeritus. God has graced the church with John’s many years of faithful and wise service, and he continues to be of great service to Christ’s church.

John retired as Vice President of Development for Avant (formerly GMU). He was responsible for fundraising and communication and served on the management team. For seven years John worked in development for Moody Bible Institute, and functioned in a similar role with GMU from 1997 to his retirement. John is a certified instructor for estate planning seminars. He has served as a senior pastor for 18 of the last 30 years. The churches he has served have varied from small and rural, to a congregation with sixty percent students in a university town, to a large church in the Silicon Valley of California. He has earned Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees from Western Seminary and a Bachelor’s degree in political science from Cal State University. John resides in Kansas City with his wife Judy. They have two married daughters. Their daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Scott Rebiger, are active members of Faith Community Church and have given John and Judy 10 grandchildren.
